Boots – Adopted July 2020
Estimated Weight: 22 Pounds
UPDATE – 23 JUNE 2020 (from foster mom): Boots is house trained to use the doggy door. He enjoys playing with other dogs at the dog park or with his fellow foster siblings. However, a second dog would not be a requirement as he also entertains himself by rolling in the grass, running zoomies (check out his video, Boots and a Buddy), or chewing on deer antlers. He is somewhat vocal when he hears doors shutting or sees activity outside through the window, but does settle down to relax on the couch so I would say he provides great guard dog duties. He does follow me around the house, so privacy will no longer be yours, but that is a typical beagle behavior. He can be a little timid at times, but it doesn’t take long for him to warm up.
UPDATE – 13 JUNE 2020: Boots is now in a foster home, so let’s see how he does now that he is back living in a home.
NEW – 31 MAY 2020: Boots is a gorgeous beagle boy who came to BREW when his owner said he wouldn’t stop barking at her boyfriend. He doesn’t seem to like some men. Boots is currently on medication for this anxiety, which BREW will reevaluate once Boots gets into a foster home. Otherwise, Boots seems to be a sweet boy who, according to his prior owner, likes to cuddle, go for walks, and play in the yard. He has been around cats and children with no issues. Boots is currently available for fostering or adoption.
