Frost – Adopted October 2020
NOTE: Probably needs a second, more confident dog
UPDATE – 12 OCTOBER 2020 (first impressions from Frost’s new foster mom): Frost (Frosty, as we like to call him) is a very sweet but timid boy. He loves the resident dogs and will follow them around. Frosty LOVES dogs; he likes people. Frosty seems to be more confident around women. He does not bark very often, but he has a loud bark and would not do well in a condo, apartment etc. Frosty needs a crate as a safe space to retreat to when the world becomes too scary. He is ok with dog-savvy cats. He will potty on a leash, but I do recommend a backyard to play in. Frosty is super sweet and in the correct home he will do well with patience, time, and routine. He has been a very good houseguest.
UPDATE – 10 OCTOBER 2020: Frost is now fully vetted and available for adoption. He is heading to a foster home, so we are looking forward to watching this shy boy come out of his shell.
NEW – 22 SEPTEMBER 2020: Frost is a 1-2-year-old male beagle who is a little on the shy side. He’s approachable and friendly but submissive. He seems to be more confident if he’s with a another confident dog. He was a stray at the Louisa County Animal Shelter so his history is unknown. He will be available after he completes his vetting, which is currently scheduled for 10/8.
