UPDATE – 7 SEPTEMBER 2020: Smokey and Bandit are doing great in their foster home. They love taking walks out in the forest and hanging out together. Smokey has a brand new set of boots that makes walking much easier and keeps his feet healthy. These are two easy boys who will steal your hearts!
NEW – 10 AUGUST 2020: Smokey and Bandit are two sweet senior beagles who found themselves without a home when their owner died. They are a bonded pair who ended up in a shelter in Tennessee with little hope of being adopted, so they are now with BREW. The boys came to the shelter in bad shape – skin issues, severely overgrown toenails, and eye infections. Smokey also has a deformity in the way he walks (see video, Smokey Walking). It doesn’t bother him and is probably something he has had for his entire life. Both boys have seen our vet and are now getting the medicine they need. The are recuperating in a foster home. Their foster mom says they are two very sweet boys who will be ready for adoption once they have had some time to heal.
