Watson – Adoption Pending
Estimated Weight: 24 pounds
UPDATE – 22 JULY 2020: Watson is a sweet, calm, older boy who is settling nicely into his foster home. He has such a great temperament and has great house manners. He loves a good ear rub or chin scratch and loves his foster siblings. He spends his days sleeping on one of the many dog beds but is quick to jump up and follow us, especially if we’re going to the kitchen! He appears to be completely housetrained and walks well on a leash. He prances alongside us on walks and appears to be waving his flag (check out his bent tail to see what I mean!) He is a quiet beagle, and we rarely hear his voice, unless it’s time to eat and you aren’t getting his food ready quickly enough! He is missing quite a few teeth so we do soften his food for him, but he gobbles it right up and loves his pupperoni treats. He is still very timid and will cower at loud noises and sudden movements towards him but has come a long way in just a few short days. Stairs can be scary too, but he’s working on conquering that fear! If you’re looking for a calm older boy with lots of love to give, Watson is your pup!
UPDATE – 19 JULY 2020: Watson is now in a foster home, so stay tuned as we learn more about this friendly guy!
NEW – 9 JULY 2020: What a smile! Watson and his buddy, Holmes, came to BREW from the Spotsylvania County SPCA in Virginia. They are both very friendly, happy, silly older boys who need furever homes. It looks like Watson may have a broken tail, but it doesn’t seem to bother him. Watson was a stray, so we don’t know much about him. He is now fully vetted and available for adoption.
