Sadie & Inga (Bonded Pair) – Attending 10/30 Adoption Day in Fulton, MD

About Me

Meet Sadie and Inga (Bonded Pair)
Status: Fostered
Estimated Ages: Sadie (1-2 Years); Inga (5-6 Years)

Estimated Weights: 22-23 Pounds Each

UPDATE –  OCTOBER 2021: This is the most hilarious comedy duo. With her resting witch face, Sadie is like a worried little person trapped in a dog’s body, the perfect straight man for brash, outgoing Inga and her resting clown face. Inga’s relaxed approach provides comic cover to Sadie as she figures out the world: OMG, OMG where is daddy? as Inga rolls on the bed: Har! Har! Har! I have a nice soft bed! They cuddle together sweetly but expect major hijinks when your back is turned. If you are looking to start an ace beagle pack, look no further than Inga and Sadie.

NEW – 20 SEPTEMBER 2021: What is better than a beautiful beagle girl? Two beagle girls who are best friends and compliment each other like chocolate and peanut butter. Here is what their foster family has to say about these girls:

Sadie: Is there room in your heart for this adorable, mischievous little munchkin? A crash downstairs will send you running to find Sadie in her crate covering some item with her body and the most innocent look on her face. A lazy Susan spinner and sampler, Sadie will select the most unusual object to carry around. She loves playing with her foster sister 24-7, and their excellent relationship seems to calm her. Sadie adores dog-savvy kids, especially boys ages 8-10. She especially adores her foster sister, Inga.

(Sadie’s Background): Sadie is an owner surrender who went straight to one of our foster homes. She is a smart little lady who loves her crate and gets along with other dogs. Sadie will potty on the leash and knows she is not supposed to go in the house but requires attentive humans who will get her outside in time. Sadie dislikes being picked up and she also hates thunder storms: expect her to leap into your lap, stare into your eyes, give you a kiss on the cheek and leap down during a storm. She becomes strongly attached to her human quickly and does have some separation anxiety; the company of another dog or visits to doggie daycare would be ideal if you are out for long. Sadie seeks a long-term relationship with an adventurer who likes to cuddle and share food.

Inga: Inga is impossibly optimistic, impish, and this girl just wants to have fun! Plus she is housetrained and walks great on a leash. Inga is a bit of a lowrider and loves other dogs. Inga is such a delight, she bonds with everyone the minute she sets eyes on them. She is an intrepid adventurer who leads the pack on hikes, instilling courage in her foster sister. Her roller derby name is ‘Inga the Thinga.’ After an exciting day of rock climbing yesterday, she docilely enjoyed a bath. What a great dog! She has bonded with her foster sister, Sadie and they would make a sweet pair ❤.

(Inga’s Background): Inga and her puppies were surrendered to BREW in 2020 when the owner didn’t want them. The puppies were all adopted, and Inga went to a foster home for a while. She was adopted in August 2021, but she was returned when the new owner had an unexpected move and could not keep her. Sweet Inga is back in a foster home where she is thriving and loving her time with foster sister Sadie.

Questions?

Q:  Can you tell me more about a specific dog?  Is s/he good with kids / housetrained / good with cats/ etc?

A:  What we know is in the write up.  Our knowledge about any dog that is not in a foster homes is limited.  Once approved, our adoption coordinators will work with you to match you with the right dog.

Q:  Can I meet a specific dog?

A:  We’re sorry, but you must be an approved adopter to meet our dogs.  Pre-pandemic, dogs could be met at adoption days, but you still had to be approved to adopt from an adoption day.

Q:  How can I adopt a specific dog?

A:  You must submit an adoption application and be approved to adopt.  You can do that under Adopt – you can also learn about the adoption process there..  It will take about two weeks for an adoption coordinator to get in touch with you.  Please keep in mind that dogs that are available now may be adopted in the meantime.  But we are always getting new dogs.   You can see them on our website.

Q:  Can I add another dog to the list on my application?

A:  We don’t hold you to the dogs you listed on your application.  It gives us an idea of what you are looking for.  Plus it will let us know if someone is interested in one of our special needs / hard to place dogs.

Q:  I indicated that I was interested in a specific dog on my application, but I see that s/he has been adopted.  What happened?

A:  We do not hold dogs.  Applicants in the queue before you are being approved and may adopt the dog you are interested in before you are approved.  But we are always getting new dogs in and your adoption coordinator will help you find the perfect match.
