Bach and Beethoven (Bonded Pair)
Status: Fostered
Estimated Age: 7-8 Years
Estimated Weight: 29-32 Pounds
UPDATE - 4 NOVEMBER 2025: We are so happy to report that Bach and Beethoven are now in a foster home where we can get to know them better. They had been living at the kennels since May 2024, so this is great news for these two boys. Here is an update from their new foster mom:
Beethoven and Bach - The Maestro Mutts!
These two handsome brothers are a perfect duet of sweetness, silliness, and sunshine. Beethoven and Bach are bonded littermates who love life, love each other, and are ready to find a forever family to call their own.
*Sunny-Day Specialists
These boys are happiest with the breeze in their fur and the sun on their backs. They will spend hours outside together, exploring, relaxing, and romping around until dusk. If you have a yard and love outdoor time, these two will fit right in.
*Toy Lovers & Playtime Pros
Toys? Yes, please! Beethoven and Bach adore their toys and will happily trot around showing off their favorites. When they are not chewing, tossing, or carrying toys, they are wrestling and playing with each other--built-in entertainment!
Dog-Door Trained
Smart and resourceful, both pups are trained to use a dog door, making potty breaks and outdoor play a breeze.
*Growing Confidence
With the gentle guidance of their foster mom, Beethoven and Bach are blossoming more each day. They are gaining confidence, learning routines, and discovering how wonderful it feels to be safe and loved.
*A Perfect Pair
These brothers share a deep bond and bring out the best in each other. They would thrive in a home that welcomes the joy of a duo--more love, more laughs, and more tail wags.
If you are looking for two affectionate playful, sunshine-chasing sweethearts, Beethoven and Bach are ready to perform their way right into your heart. Come meet the Maestro Mutts!
UPDATE - 17 JUNE 2024: Bach received his last heartworm treatment today. Other than being on restricted activity through July, he and Beethoven are good to go! This bonded pair is available for fostering or adoption.
NEW - 30 MAY 2024: Are you looking for a bonded pair? Meet Bach and Beethoven! They are bonded brothers who are both submissive and super sweet. The larger one is Beethoven. Both are fully vetted, but Bach, the smaller one, tested positive for heartworms and is going through treatment. They will be available soon.
Questions?
Q: Can you tell me more about a specific dog? Is s/he good with kids / housetrained / good with cats/ etc?
A: What we know is in the write up. Our knowledge about any dog that is not in a foster homes is limited. Once approved, our adoption coordinators will work with you to match you with the right dog.
Q: Can I meet a specific dog?
A: We’re sorry, but you must be an approved adopter to meet our dogs. Pre-pandemic, dogs could be met at adoption days, but you still had to be approved to adopt from an adoption day.
Q: How can I adopt a specific dog?
A: You must submit an adoption application and be approved to adopt. You can do that under Adopt – you can also learn about the adoption process there.. It will take about two weeks for an adoption coordinator to get in touch with you. Please keep in mind that dogs that are available now may be adopted in the meantime. But we are always getting new dogs. You can see them on our website.
Q: Can I add another dog to the list on my application?
A: We don’t hold you to the dogs you listed on your application. It gives us an idea of what you are looking for. Plus it will let us know if someone is interested in one of our special needs / hard to place dogs.
Q: I indicated that I was interested in a specific dog on my application, but I see that s/he has been adopted. What happened?
A: We do not hold dogs. Applicants in the queue before you are being approved and may adopt the dog you are interested in before you are approved. But we are always getting new dogs in and your adoption coordinator will help you find the perfect match.
