UPDATE - 31 MARCH 2026: Our last two Christmas puppies, Kris and Nick, are still looking for their forever homes. They are now in separate foster homes and doing well! Here is an update on Kris from his new foster family:

The "Kris-mas" Spirit All Year Long! If you’re looking for a dose of pure, unadulterated joy, look no further than Kris! This 6-month-old "Christmas Puppy" has officially graduated from a tiny 6-pound ball of fluff to a 21-pound bundle of personality. While most of his siblings have found their forever hearths, Kris is still waiting for the right family to notice his zany, goofy, and incredibly loyal heart. He is a unique blend of Beagle and Norwegian Elkhound, which translates to a handsome coat and a spirit that is both adventurous and deeply devoted to his humans.

Kris is the definition of a "toy ambassador." One of his absolute favorite things is picking up a toy and carrying it around the house specifically to show it off to you, it’s his way of saying, "Look how much fun we could be having!" When he’s not presenting you with his latest treasure or working on a favorite antler, he is a zoomie professional. He loves to romp and play chase with his foster brothers, bringing a sense of hilarity to every play session. He is exceptionally social and has proven to be a gentle, friendly companion to every dog and child he has met.

While he has that classic Beagle zig-zag sniffing style on the leash, Kris is remarkably well-behaved for a puppy his age. He is already crate-trained and has mastered the doggy door! He is "almost there" with house-training, staying dry throughout the day and just needing a little more consistency at night. He isn’t a "barky" dog by nature, but he will give you some excited barks when he’s in the middle of a fun wrestling match or particularly thrilled to see you. Above all, Kris is a world-class cuddler who just wants to be where the action and the people are.

Kris's Wish List

- An Active Household: Kris is full of puppy energy and needs a family ready for play sessions, walks, and plenty of mental stimulation.
- A Secure Spot to Explore: A fenced-in yard is highly preferred so he can zoom safely, otherwise, he must be kept on a leash (that Beagle nose is powerful!).
- A Toy Box to Raid: He needs a steady supply of toys to carry around and show off, plus some sturdy antlers or bones for chewing.
- Lots of Snuggle Time: Despite his playfulness, he is a true loyalist who catches your heart the moment he catches your eye. He needs a family that will welcome him onto the couch for evening cuddles.

UPDATE - 12 MARCH 2026: Nick and Kris are still waiting for their forever homes. We can't believe these gorgeous boys have not yet been adopted. As of mid-March, they are 20 weeks old and weigh around 21 pounds. They will be ready for neutering in a month. Here is a quick update on both boys from their current foster mom:

Nick is reserved and can be timid around strangers. He is extremely well-behaved and wants to make people happy. He watches and listens. Nick is wearing the red collar in the pictures.

Kris is the one who is most outgoing and brings all the toys to his friends. He is goofy and hilarious to watch. He will play with any dog or human. He jumps right into any fun he sees. Kris is wearing the blue collar in the pictures.

UPDATE - 28 JANUARY 2026: Nick and Kris are still waiting for their forever homes! These 14-week-old puppies are full of spunk and energy. The would do best being split up, as the sibling rivalry is full gear. They do well with other dogs and love all people. They move fast, are super smart and outgoing, and are ready for the training.

Nick is the slightly taller of the two pups. He is all about the people. When he catches your eye, he catches your heart. Nick loves to be pet and held. He has already learned to sit for treats. He is a ready learner. We are practicing being on leash with harness, and he’s doing great. He has also conquered jumping on the couch and climbing a few stairs.

Kris is a zany, silly, fun-loving puppy. He loves to zoom around, slide under the couch and play chase. Kris already knows how to bring toys; we are working on fetch. Kris is practicing on a harness and leash. He jumps like a bunny to get up a few stairs and walks like a sniffing beagle in leash.

These boys are looking for families that are active, ready for some fun and puppy snuggles. They would do fine with or without a sibling.

UPDATE - 14 JANUARY 2026: Hurray! Coal was adopted! Let's find great homes for our last two Christmas puppies, Nick and Kris. We did get a DNA report back from one of the puppies: 52% Beagle, 35% Supermutt (whatever that is!), 13% Norwegian Elkhound.

UPDATE - 7 JANUARY 2026: Noel was adopted! Three litte silly boys left!<>

NEW - 21 DECEMBER 2025: Meet the Christmas puppies: Coal, Nick, Noel (pronounced Knowle), and Kris (all males). These puppies are personality PLUS! These cute 9-week-old puppies are little balls of energy! They are Beagle mixes with speckles of rust and white, coming in between 6-8 pounds currently - they are small and mighty. A talkative little pack that already gives direct eye contact to make sure they get their humans attention and hearts💕.They love being snuggled and pet. Warm blankies are always a fav, as are any crinkle toys. Puppies will be available December 31st for adoption.
