UPDATE – 14 OCTOBER 2021: Abe is a super sweet Puggle with the grumpiest face. He is house trained and great with children. For a 10 year old dog, he is quite active and LOVES to go for walks where he does very little sniffing/marking but rather just wants exercise. He also loves to go for car rides and is very well behaved. Although he eventually does okay with other dogs, he barks at them when leashed and would probably prefer to be an only child in his new home. Abe will go in his crate but can be quite mouthy while in there. He prefers to sleep in a human bed, specifically under the covers. Abe prefers constant human companionship to being left alone. If he even thinks he is alone, he does a very pathetic loud whining howl until you reassure him that you are there.

NEW – 24 SEPTEMBER 2021: Look at that face! Abe Pugoda is a senior Beagle/Pug mix who was a stray from Windsor, Virginia. Based on his personality and knowledge of some commands, we think he had been someone’s pet (no one ever claimed him). Abe knows “sit” and dances for cookies. He will be available soon.
