About Me
UPDATE – 10 NOVEMBER 2021 (from foster mom): Lexie has been at my house for almost a month now. She has learned the doggie door and, for the most part, she’s doing well with an occasional pee accident in the house. She has been getting along well with my other dogs. She had some malignant masses removed, but the good news is the cancer has not spread. She has a couple more lumps that will eventually need to be checked out, but we are giving her some time to heal from her first surgery. This older girl has been through a lot and just needs a forever home where she will get affection and a warm place to lay her head. She is now available for adoption.
UPDATE – 25 OCTOBER 2021: Lexie had a mammary mass chain removal, so she’s now living with our kennel manager and mostly crated while she recuperates. Now that she has been spayed she seems to do much better with the other dogs when out in the yard. We will see how she progresses.
NEW – 19 AUGUST 2021: This little diva is Lexie. She is estimated to be around 8 years old. She was surrendered by a hunter in James City, Virginia, because she wouldn’t hunt. She’s very friendly but can be a little alpha with other dogs. We’ll see how she does after she is spayed and settles down after all the recent changes in her life. She will be available soon.
